Wagga Wagga GrainCorp Regional State League

The GrainCorp Regional State League – Riverinacompetition has finished with Wagga Wagga 17s being crowned the 2013 Champions after defeating Young Opens, 48-30, in the Grand Final contested on Sunday 14 April.
Top of the table leaders Wagga Wagga 17s showed their dominance in the Grand Final, leading at every break. While Young Opens contested hard in the second quarter, Wagga Wagga – cheered on by their home crowd – put their foot down in the third, outscoring their opponents 18 goals to seven.
In the end the goal difference was too much for Young Opens to chase down, with home town Wagga Wagga 17s claiming 2013 honours.. .read full news item here.

Intermediate Coaching General Principles
The Intermediate Coaching General Principles course is a prerequisite for the Intermediate coaching accreditation. The course is completed separately from the netball specific component, through the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation. The Course can be completed in one of two ways; either face to face or via correspondence.

Beginning Coaching General Principles

This online component is a requirement for accreditation and will reduce your time and costs for the Foundation course. The certificate awarded must be attached to your enrolment form

2013 Netball NSW Umpires Camps:
Convenors Camp 9 – 10 February:
The Convenors Camp is for all District Convenors and their committees who wish to be informed of the numerous State and National programs, procedures and rules. The camp is an opportunity for participants to gather information and share experiences with others or gain ideas or assistance from other Convenors and the Netball NSW Umpiring Personnel.

A Camp 16 – 17 February:
The A Grade Camp is designed for all National A Badge umpires wishing to maintain and improve theory knowledge and/or practical skills and for those wishing to move to AA Badge level. Speakers address the camp on topics such as presentation skills, coaching of umpires, etc. Components emphasise areas such as interpretation, recognition, application of the rules, procedures and protocols, etc.

B Camp 23 – 24 February:
The B Grade Camp is designed for all National B Badge umpires wishing to broaden or update their umpiring skills. Speakers address the camp on similar topics to those of the C grade camp. The B Camp comprises a more intense practical coaching component with emphasis on positioning, vision and interpretations of contact/contest and obstruction.

C Camp 9 – 10 March:
The C Grade Camp is similar to the Rookies Camp, but for more experienced C Badge umpires. Speakers address the participants on topics such as nutrition, fitness, vision, motivation, etc.
